Welcome to the Rockford Chamber of Commerce. We are located in Rockford, Michigan, a northern suburb of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Rockford Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization with a membership base of approximately 300 businesses ranging from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies.
Our members are primarily from the City of Rockford and Algoma, Cannon, Courtland and Plainfield Townships. Some members come from beyond these jurisdictions, either because their customer base is from the Rockford area or they have an interest in our success and growth. We thank our members for their support and involvement in the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
The forerunner of Rockford’s Chamber of Commerce was an organization founded in 1902 by local businessmen alert to the need for stable industry in Rockford. Non-Profit Articles of Incorporation were signed and acknowledged on March 13, 1961 and filed on March 22, 1961. The rest is a continuing, vibrant success story of cooperation between business leaders, community leaders, and volunteers.
