Rockford’s 53rd Annual Start of Summer Celebration!

Rockford’s Annual Start of Summer Celebration will be held in Downtown Rockford June 9-12, 2022 with all the favorites including the carnival, parade, crafters, food vendors, children’s activities, beer tents, live entertainment, fireworks and more!

Community Night: Wristbands will not be pre-sale this year. All attendees, City Residents or not, are able to buy a wristband at the carnival for $20 on Thursday night.

Wristband Costs: Thursday night is discounted to $20 wristbands. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are $25 each day.

Schedule of events: The schedule of events will be posted after Memorial Day with the brochure. This is so we can finalize times and make sure we provide the most accurate details of the event.

Parking & Shuttle: Limited parking is available downtown however, there is a free shuttle service that runs Friday from 5 – 11pm and Saturday from 10am – 11pm. Shuttles do pick-ups every 1/2 hour at Family Fare Supermarket and North Rockford Middle School to Downtown Rockford in front of Chase Bank.

Parade: The parade will start at 11am at Lewis and Main Street. It will go South on Main, East on Courtland and continue North on Monroe. The Quiet Zone will be from Pederson to Lewis Street on Monroe.
