The Rockford Chamber of Commerce is hosting it’s Annual Meeting of the Membership on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Thousand Oaks. Each year the Chamber awards the Business of Distinction Awards including Networker, Volunteer, Business and New Business of the Year to the most deserving of business members.

The Networker of the Year and Volunteer of the Year are based on hard numbers collected by the Chamber. Networker is based on number of networking events attended while Volunteer is based on volunteer hours at Chamber events. The finalists for Networker of the Year are Brady Gilliam with Visionaery Productions, Josh Cline with Fox Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and Scott Christie with North Kent Connect. The top three members for Volunteer of the Year are Bonnie Beckwith with Deer Tracks Junction, Caitlin Russo with ChoiceOne Bank and Vanessa Alt with RE/MAX United.

New Business and Business of the Year are nominated by Chamber peers based on a set list of criteria including Leadership, Community Service, Employee Investment and Innovation. New Businesses must have opened within the past 24 months. The nominees for New Business of the Year are F’nK Tacos, Pour Michigan Wine Barn, and RockFit. The nominees for 2023 Business of the Year are Accidental Art, Graff Rockford, and Justin Goushaw Agency (Farm Bureau Insurance).

The winners of these prestigious awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting of the Membership amongst all attendees, and will be later announced on the Rockford Chamber of Commerce website and social media accounts. A huge congratulations goes to all those who were nominated and recognized for these awards.
