For the Rockford Chamber to accept your entry, you must agree to the following terms.

  • Your photo(s) must be uploaded via our Facebook app by 5:00 pm EST on February 22, 2013.
  • Limit of THREE (3) photo entries per person. Any extra entries beyond three (3) will be eliminated from the competition.
  • Six (6) images will be chosen from the received entries to represent the two Divisions (three (3) images for the Adult Division / three (3) images for the Kids Division) by an independent jury panel. These six (6) images (three (3) for each Division) will be presented for the public People’s Choice voting.
  • People’s Choice Voting will begin on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 5:00pm EST and conclude Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 pm EST.
  • Winners will be announced Sunday, March 10, 2013.
  • The photo with the most number of votes during the open voting time period in each of the two (2) Divisions will receive the People’s Choice Award for that Division.
  • You are entering this contest at your own risk. You agree that, regardless of the outcome, you will not challenge the results of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce of Commerce Photography Contest  or file any claims or suits against the Chamber, their affiliates, directors, officers, or employees, arising from the conduct of the Contest. If the Rockford Chamber of Commerce terminates the Contest before its completion, the Rockford Chamber of Commerce agrees that it will not use your images for any purpose.
  • You agree that the images you submit may be used by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce on its Web site . Images displayed on the website will give credit to you as the photographer.
  • The Rockford Chamber of Commerce may use the images you submit in printed publications, slideshows, screensavers, or in any other media. The Rockford Chamber of Commerce allows you to use your submissions in any publications or internet sites.
  • You declare that you are at least 18 years of age, or that your guardian gives permission for your entry.
  • You declare that you are not an employee of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce or an immediate family member of such a person.
  • You declare that the photographs you submit
    • are your own work;
    • do not (to your knowledge) infringe on the rights of any other person or business;
  • You declare that persons depicted in the photographs (except outdoor crowd shots) have given you permission for the use of their image in your photograph.
  • You declare that your photograph accurately reflects the subject matter and scene as it appeared, and that it has not been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, adjustments to color and contrast, etc).
  • Your photograph must be taken during the event weekend – Feb. 8, 9 & 10, 2013.
  • You agree that the Rockford Chamber of Commerce will not pay you for your images, whether you win a prize or not.
  • The Rockford Chamber of Commerce is not responsible for any responsible for any Contest Entries which are delayed, lost, altered, intercepted or stored during the transmission of any data whatsoever across networks not owned and/or operated by Offerpop, including, but not limited to, the Internet, Third Party Sites, and your local network.
