The Fifth Annual Rockford Ice Festival is scheduled for February 7 & 8, 2014. This exciting event delights thousands every year in downtown Rockford, Michigan.
The schedule is set for 2014, and is even bigger than 2013. This amazing event features LIVE ice carving by the Ice Guru organization, featuring the talents of Randy Finch of the Food Network’s Ice Brigade.
On Friday, February 7th the ice sculptures will be placed in the downtown district. There is an Opening Ceremony planned for Friday evening at 6 p.m. with music, entertainment and a ribbon cutting to start the event. New this year ~ the sculptures will be lit. Also, there will be FREE carriage rides in downtown Friday evening from 5:30-8:30 p.m., sponsored by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce, and given by Grand Carriages, LLC.
Each year, picturesque downtown Rockford is transformed into a vision of ice, offering winter wonderland fun for folks of all ages and stages, and this year will be no different. Just imagine…
To close the event, the Rockford Area Arts Commission will be hosting its Third Annual Snow Ball dance. The event takes place at Thousand Oaks Golf Club from 6-11 p.m. This wonderful event will give you a chance to celebrate a special Valentine’s date with the love of your life, with delicious food, live entertainment and dancing.
