Chamber Programs

  • Chamber U – Chamber University is the brainchild of the Marketing Committee. Chamber Members step into the role of  “Professors” and share their expertise in a certain field in a classroom setting.  These classes are the educational arm of the Chamber and enlighten the membership in a variety of topics. Chamber U classes are relaxed and formatted to be interactive, with plenty of time for discussions and questions. Some of the topics: How to become involved in the Political Process, The Power of Customer Service and How to build a Business Facebook Page.
  • Welcome Bags – The Welcome Bag Program is free to Chamber Members and is a great way to welcome new residents to the community before they have even set their shopping patterns. Businesses introduce themselves via brochures, promotional items, coupons or flyers that go in a Welcome Packet for new residents. It is a wonderful way to say “Welcome to the neighborhood.”
  • Bi-Monthly Luncheons – The luncheons occur every other month and are hosted by a variety of locations. It is a prime time for business networking and features a format for both open and structured networking. Business members can share what they do and how they do it while enjoying a delicious lunch while getting to know others in the business community.
  • After Hours – After Hours is an event that allows for open networking in a very relaxed setting. After Hours occurs in May, July, September and November and occurs on a Monday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Business After Hours is a great way to learn about the host business and what they have to offer. It is also a great way to meet the “movers and shakers” of the business community. The Business After Hours is free, but you must register with the Chamber to attend. Please call 866-2000 so that you may attend this fun-filled evening.
  • Chamber Network Circle – CNC, a networking meeting that has a roster of 25 chamber members that meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at the Rockford Community Cabin, 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. These are highly motivated individuals who support and promote each others’ businesses and share a variety of aspects of their companies.
  • Scholarship – The RCC Scholarship is a yearly program that helps area students in their quest to attain higher education. Each year, the Chamber releases an essay question that area seniors are encouraged to answer and the Board judges the entries. A $1,000 scholarship is presented during the Community EXPO in March to help with the recipient’s college expenses.
  • Third Thirsty Thursday ~ Chamber Happy Hour – Third Thirsty Thursday is another networking opportunity in a very relaxed setting, which will be held every third Thursday of the month from 4 pm – 6 pm. Enjoy discounted pricing, networking and door-prize drawings.
