The final installment of Chamber U for 2013 is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 11 at Thought Design, located at 10 E. Bridge St. The class runs from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Class: How to become involved in the Political Process; Thought Design; Professor Dr. Michael Shibler
Class Description: Dr. Michael Shibler, superintendent of Rockford Public Schools, will share his vast knowledge about the political process and how best to get results from interactions with elected public officials. Learn how to work effectively with state politicians to make a difference. Guest speakers, Senator Mark Jansen, House Rep. Peter MacGregor, and House Rep. Rob VerHeulen will also be present to answer questions and share their insight in an open forum of questions from attendees. Become active during this very important time in our state and country’s history.
Lunch: Attendee’s responsibility to bring their own lunch, or have a Chamber Member deliver to the Thought Design Studio!
Cost: Free to Chamber Members and their families. $10 for non-members.
